R & L Development Company will continue its work with NRG through 2024 after finalizing a five-year contract to provide various services to multiple generating stations throughout the region.
The deal arranges that R & L will provide ash hauling and disposal services, with related work, for NRG at its Homer City, Conemaugh, Keystone, and Shawville power generating stations. The work consists of loading and hauling the ash from the work sites, then disposing of the material by spreading and compacting, finished with a final soil cover and seeding.
In 2013, R & L Development Company was named the NRG Supplier of the Year. It recorded over 120,000 man-hours without a lost-time incident throughout the course of the year.
R & L has been providing safety and quality to more than 15 NRG-owned generating stations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Other projects include stream relocations, scrubber-related work, and land remediation. Head to our Recent Projects for more details on these services.
